0.48 -> Hi everyone its Kristy from rockabuybabyreviews.com.au and today I’m reviewing the Baby Jogger
7.64 -> City Mini GT.
25.71 -> So the Baby Jogger City Mini GT is your upgrade from your standard Mini and it has a few changes
32.8 -> because its the upgrade you have the forever air all terrain tyres, you have a hand brake
38.719 -> at the top here and you have an adjustable handle the pram itself is also suitable from
44.65 -> birth to 29.5kgs so huge amout of weight there so a very tall child is going to fit in there.
51.68 -> The handle itself to adjust you just need to push the buttons here and you can drop
57.37 -> that all the way down to the lowest at 67.6cm so thats really low so maybe a brother or
63.609 -> sister could push their sibling and all the way at the top there at 110cm so its going
69.51 -> to suit a lot of different height of parents.
72.89 -> The actual fold, its a quick patient fold it is very simple to do and you do have the
78.01 -> auto lock as well.
79.37 -> to fold you just need to pull up on this handle here and it snaps shut, so you could easily
86.52 -> do this holding onto baby and still put it in the car with one hand so its really convenient
91.72 -> for life on the fly.
93.71 -> the total weight of the pram is only 9.5kgs so again it is quite light.
98.74 -> The folded dimensions you have 80cm high by 24.8cm deep and you have 62.2cm wide, it is
107.21 -> that little bit wider than the standard mini because you’ve got those all terrain tyres.
112.72 -> To unfold you just need to unlock the automatic lock here hold onto your handle and the pram
117.95 -> itself will just flick out.
119.81 -> so really simple to unfold theres no reattaching seats or anything.
125.05 -> The sun canopy is three large panels its full coverage and you have two peekaboo windows
131.359 -> but they do have that velcro closure so that could wake a sleeping baby, you can roll these
138.019 -> up and they have little velcro clasps here if you’d like to let a little bit of sun
143.849 -> in.
144.849 -> The seat on the Mini and the GT is always forward facing and it does have a full upright
151.04 -> seat it is slightly still reclined just for those kids that might light to be fully sitting
155.379 -> up and see the world.
157.15 -> To recline the seat you have a long strap here and you just need to sqeeze the toggle
162.459 -> here and it just drops down whatever level you stop at and you can go all the way to
167.129 -> the bottom and we’re almost flat as I said suitable from Newborn.
171.569 -> Its really great because you have this ventilated area here at the back so it lets great about
175.849 -> of air in when babies sleeping whoever if you would like to shut that out or its a rainy
180.359 -> day you also have this retractable weather cover which has a little bit of velcro on
184.9 -> the sides here and attaches to the base so thats great for that little bit of privacy
188.599 -> and once you put your sun canopy over that is actually nice full coverage for when your
194.099 -> babies trying to sleep.
195.999 -> Baby Jogger for the GT have a full range of accessories, you have carseat adaptors, they
201.469 -> are always subject to availability for the Peg Perego the Maxi Cosi, cyber, chicco, The
207.68 -> graco, britax and the even flow.
210.95 -> you have a rain cover, you have a compact pram or bassinet you have a belly bar that
216.599 -> can attach across the front, you have a child snack tray which is very convenient, you have
221.65 -> the glider toddler board and you also have a travel bag.
225.909 -> You can also get universal accessories such as a parent console, that goes across the
229.47 -> handles here, which is great for storming your water bottle, phone and your keys.
233.98 -> The GT comes in five fantastic colours this one we are reviewing today is in the shadow,
239.7 -> bamboo and they also have the GT in the double pram which we are hoping to review for you
245.829 -> soon.
246.829 -> Now we’re going to take a closer took at the GT seat and harness and tyres , so it
251.98 -> has a lovely padded seat, it does not have a board in the seat maybe that is going to
256.6 -> come in an upgrade.
258.009 -> the harness itself is a five point padded harness and its really simple just each toggle.
263.38 -> No puzzle piece here, very simple to re, put that back in and connect and the padded sections
270.78 -> here are really nice and easy to remove.
273 -> To adjust is a really simple system no re-threading needed, just unclip and put back through so
280.14 -> really simple when you need to change between your kids which is really fantastic.
283.9 -> The dimensions, it’s a really nice roomy seat so it has 33cm wide from the seat bottom
290.63 -> to the back of the seat it’s 53cm and from the bottom of the seat to the top of the canopy
297.07 -> its a huge 66cm so lots of room the depth from the base to the knee is 25cm so lots
306.07 -> of space in this seat and you have a nice padded footwell here.
310.1 -> The sun canopy can be easily removed by just pushing the grey buttons here and you can
315.15 -> easily remove that, so its really simple to do as well.
318.1 -> The storage on the GT, again like the citi mini you actually have a fantastic large mesh
324.54 -> pocket at the back here and then you have the basket here, now they have scooped the
328.59 -> bar down, trying to give you better access and the sides here are also elastic so we
334.12 -> will give you a closer look at that later.
336.21 -> One of our Facebook fans Jessica had a question about the storage on the GT and wanted us
342.6 -> to cover that in relation to the use of a nappy bag going in there and on the handle.
346.69 -> So obviously they never recommend you hand your nappy bag on the handle so getting it
351.5 -> into the basket your going to get a medium size nappy bag in there.
355.27 -> There is a lot of space in the basket itself but there is not a lot of big openings to
360.01 -> actually put stuff in there so your not going to get big massive bulky items to go into
364.13 -> the basket even though your’ve got the space and even though they have made these adjustments
367.62 -> know know your going to get your medium sized stuff in there, its pretty handy anyway and
371.86 -> you can work with that or you’ve got the pocket at the back of the seat to also utilise.
376.63 -> Now the wheels on the GT are the forever air all terrain tyres, not intended for jogging,
382.22 -> very easy to release you just push down on the black button and wheels slides off the
387.59 -> front wheel is actually the surprise contender here, it has suspension, it is a swivel wheel
395 -> of which you can lock by pushing up and that locked that into place.
400.13 -> You can also remove this by pushing this black button in and the wheel pops out there.
408.16 -> The wheels themselves are 21.6cm and as I said they are the quick release forever air
414.37 -> tyres so you never have to add air to them along with the suspensions and the multi terrain
420.4 -> tyres it does make for a much smoother ride than its younger sibling the Mini.
427.25 -> Out and about with the GT now that single front wheel with great suspension handles
432.92 -> a multitude of different surfaces including the mulch at the park.
438.8 -> Just another example of the quick fold and the ability because it folds so nice and flat
443.05 -> for you to fit it into a small car boot.
446.41 -> And an example of how quick it is to unfold it and off you go.
450.61 -> Here is our one year old in the GT and our two and a half year old in the GT.
458.38 -> And now a quick side by side comparison between the standard Mini and the GT.
463.11 -> With the GT it weighs and extra 2kgs you get an extra 5.1cm in height.
469.57 -> it’s one centimetre wider you get and additional 7.1kgs weight capacity in the seat and the
474.02 -> current recommended retail price is and extra two hundred dollars.
478.15 -> And now a Mums take on the Baby Jogger City Mini GT, the’ve made some really great additons
485.15 -> and changes to the GT, obviously to give it that extra special GT badge.
489.58 -> It is a shame that all the accessories are sold separately and you don't even at least
495.54 -> get the rain cover.
496.54 -> The storage is still a little bit on the small side but it is fantastic that you can now
500.46 -> use this a little bit more in that multi-terrain. and the Quick fold technology means it is
505.93 -> super fast to set up and to fold when your on the run.
509.44 -> Even being able to hold baby thats actually a really convenient feature.
512.15 -> It is a bit of a work horse in relation to what it can carry and a really durable little
518.57 -> pram.
519.57 -> The recommended retail price for the Baby Jogger City Mini GT is $649.95
