0.06 -> It seems that the backdrop is did companies want to deal with each other?
4.11 -> But there are risks to some of these big deals going through, especially if you
8.25 -> go into super sensitive areas like technology, for example.
10.98 -> Absolutely. I think technology, strategic technology
13.23 -> is going to continue to be this really big focus.
15.6 -> We see it with cattle and Ford. Of course, automakers are really sort of
19.86 -> sticking point for China and Europe and Germany, for example, as well as, you
25.08 -> know, yesterday's assembled news. Again, this issue of sort of possible
29.16 -> allegations of corporate theft and so on.
31.17 -> So I think we're going to continue to see that.
33.21 -> It's interesting when we contrast how the U.S.
36.21 -> and its allies are responding to this and using this particular tool of
39.9 -> economic statecraft, trying to involve and incorporate other corporates, trying
45.09 -> to get multilateral national support for these types of cubs versus China that
49.98 -> has been relatively restrained in its sort of punishment or its targeting,
55.53 -> shall we say, in this particular area. Quickly, do you think the scrutiny will
59.88 -> actually affect these deals in any way they could?
62.28 -> They actually be blocked? I think it really is going to depend on
65.16 -> the country involved, actually. How close are they to the US?
67.89 -> We talked about the Netherlands. The Japanese or Europe, which has had a
72 -> really sort of tried to stay steer, steer a middle path between this
76.68 -> conflict between China and the US.
