16.49 -> Baby. I’m talking about the Chicco Keyfit 30 Infant
car seat. This is a very popular car seat.
22.939 -> It’s very easy to use. Here are some of
the special features of this seat: whenever
28.029 -> I have a yellow button on the Chicco, it has
a function. These two yellow levers here lower
36.989 -> the carrying handle. I’ve got another yellow
lever here, which is what’s going to release
41.879 -> the car seat from my stroller when I’m carrying
it on my stroller. I have wonderful padding
48.51 -> in this car seat, excellent for a small baby,
for an infant. It’s removable. I have a
54.199 -> five-point harness system. This piece here,
the chest clip, should be at armpit level.
62.089 -> And make sure, as I always say, that you consult
your manual for all the specifics of the,

just running through some of the main features.

you’re going to use this yellow lever here.

to attach this to the base of a stroller.

It has an adaptor that goes with the Bee.

right way. Infant car seats are always rear-facing,

that nice clicking sound. And now I’m going

to do the base. Now there’s two things I’m

Okay. Two things I’m going to go over with

really like the latch system on the Chicco.

What you do first is you see here? There are

your latches by pulling up on this lever here,

this out like this. I’m going to ungather

bit. So let me loosen these up on both sides.

compartments where they are, get them ready
176.87 -> to go. Many cars now come with this latch
system. Okay. So having the top of the latch
185.01 -> on the top, I snap it in right where it goes.
I snap in the other latch right where it goes.

You want this to be as tight as possible.

is a green window here with a bubble that

this seat is not exactly like your average

Okay. When I want to undo my latches I press
220.099 -> down on these red buttons here. I can loosen
up by the way. I press down on my red buttons

they were, in these little compartments on

to move this around so you guys can see everything,

to get the tightness. I can wind this up like

put it in this little compartment. Now I’m
252.299 -> going to do the seatbelt. As with any car
seat install you’re going to pull this up
256.45 -> as much as you can, get rid of all the give,
hold it tightly in your other hand. You’re
261.75 -> going to come up through here. You’re going
to go down through there. And you’re going
268.37 -> to buckle in. Now what you want to do is you
want to loosen up on the bottom and make sure
275.06 -> this is tight as possible by pulling down
on the right. And then you’re going to push,
282.5 -> push, push, push, push. Push, push, push and
get this as tight as possible into place.
287.55 -> Now Chicco has another interesting feature,
which I’m going to show you guys here. There
291.669 -> are these little yellow pieces here and the
upper part of your belt, let me push my stroller

yellow pieces. It’s an extra, it’s called
306.93 -> the "lock off," an extra safety precaution.
Most cars are going to have a locking system
313.479 -> here. This seat does not, but most cars will.
So again, make sure your bubble is in the
318.83 -> middle. Make sure this is tight. And try to
move it and make sure it can’t move any

those are the basics of the install when it
