Content
0.18 -> hey guys welcome back to my channel Michi mix
up I'm really excited to be able to find some
4.68 -> time to film today and um in this video
I want to talk about Tom Ford's new eye
10.08 -> color quads I picked up two of the three new
launches first I have here is hazy sensuality
18.24 -> and it's quite a cool color story especially
compared to the other two that were launched at
25.98 -> the same time and the second one I picked up is
golden hour I will do a side-by-side comparison
32.76 -> and the swatches so you guys can see but this is
golden hour a lot warmer and then the warmest of
39.18 -> the three color stories that were released is
going to be Peach Dawn which I didn't pick up
44.28 -> because I think with the Chanel iron fakes palette
that was launched earlier with a very Coral warm
52.92 -> pink in kind of that red undertone I didn't feel
like I needed another uh quad that was sort of
60.06 -> similar like in the same vein so I just got these
two instead but I am looking forward to his summer
66.9 -> releases um they have this I guess bronzy uh
packaging and I think there's going to be two eye
76.14 -> color quads and then two maybe is it bronzers
or kind of like bronzer slash highlighters
85.2 -> um I'll find pictures to share them here as I'm
talking about this but I'll also put up a picture
90.18 -> of peach Dawn as well if you follow me on Tick
Tock or Instagram you would have already seen
95.7 -> swatches last week of these two palettes but
now with this video I want to get a little bit
100.5 -> more in depth and um create a look with them
and also do swatches as well at the end like
106.86 -> usual I'll take whatever palettes I do have and do
either cross brand or same brand comparisons with
114.06 -> other eyeshadow quads I did downsize my Tom Ford
collection quite a bit late last year and early
119.88 -> this year to make room for new items and as time
allows I hope to continue to make these detailed
126.42 -> videos for you guys as well as posting content
on social media so if you're not following me
131.7 -> on Tick Tock and Instagram I do have my handles
below which is Michi mix up and I hope to see you
137.94 -> guys there as well well so moving right into these
swatches I'm going to begin with hazy sensuality
144 -> and I did actually Beyond swatching I did actually
try them and wore them for the day and the first
151.98 -> thing that comes to mind when I think of Tom Ford
is that the color stories are you know some of
159.9 -> them most of them are quite classic we don't get
a lot of that you know very super vibrant colors
166.62 -> or color story although in the past there's been
um kind of seasonal limited edition quads that you
173.4 -> know were especially metallic and molten like in
texture but those are few those are the minority
179.94 -> the majority are going to be something like
this which I think they're just as gorgeous
186.36 -> um but they do even though they're classic
color stories they do have a bit more punch
190.38 -> to them and so what I found when I created a
look with both of these quads last week is that
198.6 -> foreign they just have more punch to them
than compared to other luxury brand makeup
209.52 -> and notably their eyeshadows don't fade or they
last much longer than I anticipate it's always
222 -> kind of a pleasant surprise so you can see these
two are especially the two shades here they have
227.64 -> more pigment to them more payoff these are lighter
in comparison I would say this shade here is
237 -> definitely more of a lid topper although if you do
have very light skin tone I think that this one's
244.86 -> easy to put all over the lid and then use some of
these Shades here to kind of play with dimension
252.24 -> and that is hazy sensuality
now moving on to Golden hour
259.14 -> beautiful
263.58 -> you can see the coolness
in hazy versus golden hour
269.64 -> uh the reason I'm drawn to these two is that
they're quite different from each other and
274.62 -> Peach Dawn might be a little bit too similar
at least in the photos to Golden hour so that's
281.22 -> why I gravitated towards these two I was also
really excited about this golden shade I have
286.8 -> plenty of gold eyeshadow from especially from my
Pat McGrath collection but I don't recall having
295.2 -> many or any Golds from Tom Ford so I was excited
about that um you can see golden hour generally
302.88 -> all four Shades combine more pigmented what did
surprise me because going back to that kind of
307.98 -> payoff and how it has good stain power is that I
get a look that was um way deeper than I thought
314.88 -> and it immediately reminded me of honeymoon I'm
gonna start actually with let's see here probably
322.74 -> the right side and I'm going to use hazy
sensuality to create a look I will definitely
329.94 -> be using all four shades so let's begin with this
pink shade here I'm placing that all over the lids
339.24 -> and then I'm going to use a finger go into
this shade here as I'm doing this I do want
344.34 -> to mention that these quads are of the wet dry
formula so you can actually use a mixing medium
352.5 -> or actually um what a brush and dip it in what I
do recommend because this the Shadows are quite
360.18 -> the investment um if if it's hard to kind of get
over the idea of you know putting water on these
367.5 -> you could also take a little spatula and take some
product out just a little bit put it on you know
375.48 -> a clean surface and then mix it with your mixing
medium or water as well and that way you're not
382.68 -> having moisture on the palette itself
385.8 -> um so hopefully you know that gives you guys those
are hesitating but curious hopefully that's a nice
393.06 -> alternative you can you can consider and then I
will go into this Deeper Shade here and I'm just
401.46 -> I don't want a really deep look but I
definitely want that Dimension so I'm
406.32 -> actually just using the Sonia G the soft definer
to really softly place the Deeper Shade here
422.28 -> and then again using a finger I'm just
taking this really bright kind of lid
427.08 -> topper shade and just placing it on the inner
corner and then using Sonia G's Builder brush
434.28 -> I'm taking this deep Brown shade and
putting that on the lower lash line
444.12 -> so this is hazy sensuality and I decided to
accentuate this pink shade you don't have to
450.24 -> you can stick with the cooler Shades and just
use this as you know a small or a light Accent
457.62 -> on the center of the lid or just in between like
the eyelid fold for example so I was interested
465.54 -> in putting that pink front and center okay
moving on to Golden hour I'm going to take
472.86 -> the deepest or most pigmented shade of golden hour
and place that on the just above the Lash line and
483.3 -> moving towards the center of the lid taking
this shade here I am using it to diffuse
493.8 -> what we already have on the lid and
then move that towards the crease
501.9 -> and then I just want to add some of this shade
here because I also think this is beautiful
507.54 -> and I'm adding it right above the
Lash line I don't think we'll be
511.8 -> able to see it very well actually
I'm going to go in with a finger
522.78 -> it's subtle but you can see it added more Shimmer
and I kind of like I like that a lot actually when
529.32 -> I'm blinking you can see it and then with that
gold shade here um I'm actually happy with the
537.84 -> way this look is turning out but let's add some
gold on the inner corner and move it slightly
543.9 -> upwards here and I'm taking rougher brush number
three very handy for that inner Corner detailed
551.22 -> work and it has this comes up to a dome but it's
pointed enough to do that detail kind of work
567.78 -> and I'm also bringing it all below
573.24 -> and let me add some mascara we will come
back for the rest of the look in those
578.7 -> other comparisons for blush I'm going to try
out something new I just received and this is
583.02 -> the suku melting powder blush um I've talked
about these blushes a lot recently because
588.9 -> they are being discontinued they're still
being stomped up until the end of the year
594 -> um but because of that I went and picked up a few
more so what I have here is actually a limited
599.88 -> edition from I think the spring collection
this year or pre-spring collection 103
608.64 -> and I feel like it really matches the
pink and kind of coral color story I
617.1 -> have on both eyes so going in
with with roughers 05 brush
631.32 -> I love just
637.5 -> I love the shade I love the shade if I did
not already have a lot of blushes I might
646.8 -> run out and get a spare of this one wow you
know I already have in the melting color or
653.76 -> melting powder formula another I can't see
this very well hold on here there we go
659.82 -> um another pink blush but it's so different
now that it's been applied here and actually
664.86 -> this is my first time going into it I haven't even
swatched it yet it just looks um like a a bit of
675.3 -> a coral pink and I just love how everything's
kind of coming together and to pair this off
682.02 -> I'm going to also go into a pink lipstick this is
Sicily's La feta Rouge um in the shade 22 I forget
689.28 -> the name they're all named after cities but um
Lafitte Rouge one of my favorite scent lipsticks
703.2 -> so here is the finished look using hazy sensuality
on the right eye and golden hour on the left I
712.08 -> purposely wanted to go with a bright pink very
pigmented lipstick because I wanted to show you
719.34 -> um you can have a cool pink or something that's
much warmer and even Coral leaning but still it
726.18 -> can be paired with something that's really bright
right in line with a summer look um but I could
732 -> have gone with something more neutral a neutral
pink lipstick or just something that's a little
737.64 -> bit more subdued and it would still um I think it
would still turn out well so very versatile here
743.16 -> again just classic color stories if I had to pick
one of the two quads if I were only to keep one
749.52 -> it's going to be golden hour I actually don't
have anything in my collection quite like this
757.8 -> um I think there's a palette from Natasha
denona where there's a shade or two that
763.8 -> could be similar so I'll definitely take a look
at that and if there's anything there I'll show
767.88 -> it to you guys but overall this combination
here and being that this is what dry formula
773.7 -> I can make it more intense um this this is the
standout in my opinion um you guys have told me
780.72 -> that you really enjoy all of the color stories
and I I believe you but if I had to just pick
787.08 -> one golden hour would be it I took out a number
of Natasha denona palettes because it turns out
792.48 -> that she has quite a bit of those you know
salmon Coral pink shades and the one that
799.08 -> really there really might be something here it's a
completely different finish but I think the shade
803.94 -> is worth taking a look at is from something more
recent her retro Glam palette in the shade Belle
815.34 -> completely different finish but I feel like it
can be the same family of Shades it's not the
822.18 -> same I think this is even cooler but you can
see they might mix well together like a cool
829.8 -> and a warm contrast and then also from Natasha
denona is going to be her mini retro palette just
840.36 -> like a fan and cult favorite
this shade here reminds me
846.9 -> um of golden hour I think this is going
to be Pinker and a little bit brighter
854.52 -> but can really complement these Shades beautifully
and looking at it like this and it has some
863.58 -> similarities this one has less undertone than
this metallic shade but I think they can be
871.8 -> cousins sisters maybe and then I did also I'm
probably not going to Swatch anything from here
877.44 -> but from her mini Biba palette this one was a bit
disappointing although still beautiful it's not
884.88 -> really like her meaty or is it meaty meeting
Biba palette that one is also a fan favorite
893.64 -> um so so this one doesn't quite live
up to that original hype I'm not going
898.08 -> to Swatch the shade because I don't I
don't really think it's that similar
902.04 -> okay let's move on here um now as I was
going through my vanity the small Beauty
909.12 -> palette which is a collaboration with beautylish
I think this shade there might be something there
917.64 -> maybe a little bit deeper
923.7 -> it is deeper a bit more red leaning
926.76 -> definitely channeling this though
definitely very similar to the shade here
936.54 -> and then for the Glam palette um classic
color story I think there's some pinks that
944.16 -> I can compare to because this pink here almost
looks because it's so cool it almost looks a bit
950.76 -> purple like there's a bit of a purple undertone
to it and I feel like oh I can easily find this
956.34 -> but as I was looking through my collection I
don't know that I quite have this pink maybe
962.46 -> from another ND palette but speaking of ND we're
moving back to Natasha denona her Glam palette
968.64 -> those two cool lighter you know the lid topper
and the lighter metallic shade really reminds me
976.2 -> of something like this from her palette so I'll
go ahead and Swatch that much more pigmented
986.16 -> yeah
988.8 -> much more pigmented and intense than the
two up here and for good measure I'm going
998.16 -> to take out her Natasha denona's Lila palette
just to see if there's some similarities that
1004.04 -> I can find to match or compare with that
pink well as I thought I might not actually
1011.72 -> then
1014.42 -> it is similar this is the one that comes
to mind but I don't see anything and I
1020.06 -> don't know that I have anything my collection
actually quite like this so because I have the
1026 -> palette out I'm going to Swatch It Anyway
this is my favorite Natasha denona palette
1032.54 -> I think maybe it got bumped down one spot but
this is my first Natasha denona palette and
1039.74 -> I love purple's moms and plums and this
palette has so much of it just so much
1047.48 -> of it and variations of it so beautiful and
it's one of her clean to fame palettes I'm
1054.68 -> going to Swatch this shade here my favorite
shade from the palette and it's called Helio
1066.02 -> yeah it definitely has Vibes of golden hour
1072.92 -> um but much much more intense more pigmented
has a lot of Bass to it um but I I can see
1081.14 -> this is like the plum sister and these are
more pink and actually Coral in comparison
1088.82 -> but yeah I feel like they can kind of all exist in
the same pool I do want to know going into Leela
1096.38 -> palette one of her earlier ones just how intense
this metallic Swatch is and we've heard comments
1106.58 -> how in recent years not all of her palettes have
that same quality and even if you were go if you
1113.24 -> were to go earlier Beyond even before the Leela
palette I think was was it the star palettes
1118.88 -> the really big Natasha denona palettes and people
feel a certain way about them and they feel like
1124.22 -> that was the standard that was the quality her
claim to fame and things have changed so it'll
1129.8 -> be interesting to see where the brand goes in
terms of creativity and you know quality of
1134.66 -> the eye shadows but moving back into Tom Ford
I do like both of these quads very pleasantly
1140.42 -> surprised that there's really nothing in my
collection quite like this quite this cool with
1146.84 -> um this mashup or beautiful pairing I should say
of shade so I really enjoy this and then of course
1154.64 -> you guys know I really do love golden hour and I
would recommend this over hazy centrality actually
1161.72 -> so this is my favorite of the two and possibly
maybe a favorite eyeshadow of 2023 so we'll see
1169.16 -> thank you guys for watching um I miss you and
again hope that as time goes on or as the year
1176.36 -> goes on I can continue to find time and sit here
talk to you guys about makeup see you soon bye
