0.06 -> Nissan has recently announced that it will be  discontinuing the Rogue Sport, a small SUV that
4.92 -> has been available in the U.S. market for six  years. Although a new version of the Rogue Sport,
9.42 -> named the Qashqai, has already been introduced  in other markets, Nissan has decided to retire
14.4 -> the nameplate and possibly make way for a  next-generation Kicks SUV to fill the void.
19.14 -> The Rogue Sport was well-known for its  comfortable ride, standard features,
22.8 -> and spacious second row, but it was also  criticized for its slow performance and
27.12 -> overall lack of distinction. Although  the latest version of the Qashqai is not
31.08 -> expected to be available in the North American  market, its sleek design could potentially be
35.34 -> incorporated into a new model that Nissan  may release under a different nameplate.
39.66 -> Unlike the Qashqai available in  other markets, the U.S. version
42.96 -> of the Rogue Sport is not expected to  feature a hybrid powertrain. Instead,
47.04 -> it will have a gasoline-powered four-cylinder  engine and a continuously variable automatic
51.54 -> transmission (CVT). Nissan still has  other options for subcompact SUV shoppers,
56.82 -> such as the Kicks, and for those looking  for a larger compact crossover, there's
60.6 -> the Rogue. Other SUVs in this class include  the Toyota Corolla Cross and the Kia Seltos.
66.18 -> The cabin of the new Rogue Sport has been  updated, featuring a more stylish dashboard,
70.56 -> a flat-bottomed steering wheel, and a tablet-style  infotainment display. The top-spec SL trims come
76.5 -> with quilted leather upholstery, stitched dash  and door panels, and a digital gauge display.
80.94 -> While the discontinuation of the Rogue Sport  may come as a disappointment for some, Nissan's
86.04 -> updated options and potential new releases may  offer even better alternatives for SUV shoppers.
