3.149 -> Hi guys.
4.149 -> It's Andrew Esquivel here back with another
review and today I'm going to be
7.569 -> reviewing the SleepyPod Pet Carrier/Car Seat.Now
this is one of the earlier SleepyPod products
14.86 -> you could have bought and if you
wanted to keep your pets safe, this is what
18.92 -> you got.
20.96 -> It can strap into your car without the
necessity of using anchor points and still
26.789 -> be safe, and I will show you that later on
in the
30.08 -> review.
31.08 -> But for now let's go over the actual pod itself.
36.48 -> Now the first thing you'll notice is that
the materials are very heavy duty, very strong
41.87 -> and
very well made, all the stitches are done
45.08 -> correctly, all the materials are top notch.
49.14 -> If you
want to carry your pet around it's got the
51.1 -> shoulder strap, that's padded.
55.79 -> The pet carrier
itself is actually relatively large.
60.65 -> You should be able to fit just about to fit
any normal
63.39 -> sized housecat in here, even a small dog.
66.3 -> I will show you with a little stand-in just
how
71.37 -> big this thing is.
72.37 -> But first, we have to break it down, because
this does in fact
76.39 -> disassemble.
78.54 -> You can get accessories for your SleepyPod
but I don't have the
82.8 -> accessories, we're just going to go over the
SleepyPod itself.
86.25 -> So, first off, right here, you have this strap.
91.63 -> This is where one of the points of the
seatbelt is going to strap in.
100.32 -> Over here we have the zipper.
103.66 -> The zipper allows you to
open this up so you can just put your pet
108.97 -> inside, and we're going to zip this back up
for a
116.18 -> moment because there is yet another zipper.
121.5 -> All the way over here we have this zipper,
and if we undo this zipper all the way around
131.029 -> - and this is a nice heavy zipper -
we can
141.45 -> take the entire top half of the SleepyPod
off.
145.049 -> Now I want to know if this mesh is rubberized
plastic.
150.78 -> If your pet starts to chew on it, it
might give way, so hopefully your four legged
160.62 -> friend doesn’t do that.
164.189 -> So we've got this, and it's a really soft,
plush, faux fur liner and it's really comfy.
172.499 -> You can
see that it's not small but it's not big at
177.29 -> the same time.
179.569 -> So going back to my little stand-in
buddy, here is my stand-in buddy, little tiger,
189.79 -> and this little tiger fits with the small
SleepyPod ClickIt Harness, and he fits in
200.26 -> pretty decently.
202.41 -> So essentially, if you have a
204.939 -> pet that uses an extra small SleepyPod Harness
your pet will definitely fit inside the little
214.98 -> carrier and car seat here.
217.329 -> So, that's just to kind of show you the size,
and comparing it
222.819 -> to other SleepyPod products.
228.34 -> So this fur liner here can be taken out.
232.709 -> Once again we unzip it, in case your pet has
an
238.26 -> accident, this whole liner can be taken out
and this is the bottom, it's just a hardened
248.739 -> canvas kind of material.
254.199 -> So let's put this aside and talk about the
liner.
257.41 -> This liner works
with two different materials.
261.239 -> One, we've got the faux fur, and we've go
this kind of foamy
268.659 -> plush material to make it feel more comfortable
for your pet.
273.949 -> Now one of the accessories I was talking about
is, like for instance, a heating pad to
279.77 -> keep your pet warm in the SleepyPod.
286.15 -> There's a number of other things I believe
you
288.45 -> can get but you'd have to look at the SleepyPod
website.
292.31 -> Now you can remove the faux fur from the liner
here.
296.15 -> There is yet another zipper down
here in which you would use to do that.
301.49 -> Now I'm not going to take it all the way apart
because you pretty much get the idea.
307.479 -> When I put this back together real quick,
zip it all
318.56 -> the way around.
320.879 -> There you go, that's part one.
326.509 -> Then part two is the top portion here.
333.759 -> Slide that on into place and zip all the way
around.
346.53 -> And you've got your SleepyPod Car
Seat Pet Carrier back together again.
354.05 -> So I was showing you before what an animal
that fits with the small SleepyPod Harness
362.539 -> looks like fitted on the inside, but that
was about the top.
365.41 -> Let me show you what it kind
of looks like with some headroom.
369.68 -> So let's open this up, bring back our little
tiger buddy,
375.09 -> put him in, and he fits pretty decently.
382.96 -> Zip this back up.
385.02 -> He's got a decent bit of room to
move around in there.
389.729 -> So as you'll notice I'm not using a real animal
for this review because it's much easier to
397.439 -> work with a little stuffed animal when showing
the features of this particular product.
405.84 -> So let's zip this back up and we're going
to go in the car and I'll show you how it
411.48 -> hooks up.
412.48 -> Okay, so now that we have the SleepyPod Pet
Carrier in the car we take our seatbelt,
422.969 -> take the bottom portion, and then we take
this Velcro piece right here, undo it, slide
432.11 -> the
seatbelt over there, under the Velcro piece,
439.009 -> and the Velcro piece comes back up, you
keep it nice and tight, over like that.
446.629 -> Then you go and secure the SleepyPod by clicking
the belt in and then you take the second portion
463.58 -> up at the top here, and you do the
same
474.879 -> under the Velcro loop, and then back over
- secured - and then we take the
483.199 -> seatbelt and have it so that it doesn’t
extend any longer, it's locked in.
492.229 -> And now you
have your SleepyPod pet bed carrier/car seat
498.629 -> all nice and secured inside the car.
