Nissan Ariya vs Volkswagen ID.5
The Nissan Ariya and Volkswagen ID.5 are two of the freshest electric SUVs to hit the UK market, as well as being extremely closely matched in terms of size, price and range. In this CarGurus UK review, electric car expert Vicky Parrott test the 2022 Nissan Ariya against the equally as fresh VW ID.5. She considers both models for styling, practicality, technology, driving dynamics, charging and more. The Ariya, which is available with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, features a 63kWh or 87kWh useable battery capacity, giving an official range on the WLTP cycle of 250 or 329 miles respectively. It costs from around £44,000 up to £66,000. The VW ID.5 fights back with a 77kWh battery and an official WLTP range of up to 327 miles.
