Aston Martin DB11 2021 Review

Aston Martin DB11 2021 Review

The DB11 is Aston Martin’s classic grand touring car, an achingly beautiful and impressively comfortable thing adept at crossing continents. It is the latest in a long line of Aston DB cars and a direct successor to the gorgeous DB9. For now at least, the DB11 is the middle child of Aston’s lineup of two-door coupes, sandwiched between the smaller Vantage and more focused DBS Superleggera. It competes with other luxury grand tourers including the Bentley Continental GT, McLaren GT, Porsche 911 Turbo, and Lexus LC.

0.06 -> The DB11 is Aston Martin's classic grand  touring car, an achingly beautiful and
4.98 -> impressively comfortable thing adept at crossing  continents. It is the latest in a long line of
9.72 -> Aston DB cars and a direct successor  to the gorgeous DB9. For now at least,
14.46 -> the DB11 is the middle child of Aston's  lineup of two-door coupes, sandwiched
19.2 -> between the smaller Vantage and more focused DBS  Superleggera. It competes with other luxury grand
24.36 -> tourers including the Bentley Continental GT,  McLaren GT, Porsche 911 Turbo, and Lexus LC.
31.2 -> The DB11 is the only car in the Aston Martin  range to provide multiple engine options;
35.88 -> the Vantage, DBS, and DBX all offer  just one. In base coupe and Volante
41.22 -> convertible forms, the DB11 is powered  by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8 sourced
46.08 -> from Mercedes-AMG that develops  503 hp and 498 lb-ft of torque.
52.14 -> Dropping the extra scratch for a DB11 AMR Coupe  swaps the Mercedes V-8 for an in-house-designed
57.66 -> 5.2-liter twin-turbo V-12 that delivers  630 hp and 516 lb-ft. With either engine,
64.08 -> power is routed through an eight-speed  automatic transmission to the rear wheels.
68.34 -> When we first tested a DB11 with a  600-hp version of the twin-turbo V-12,
73.2 -> it delivered 0-60 mph in 3.8 seconds; Aston  claims the DB11 AMR will hit 60 mph in 3.5
80.58 -> seconds on its way to a 208-mph top  speed. Manufacturer estimates for
85.8 -> the V-8 Coupe and Volante claim 0-60 in  3.9 seconds and a top speed of 187 mph.
93 -> As expected, the inside of every DB11 is a plush  environment that can be customized with fanciful
98.82 -> leather colors and exotic materials. However,  we've noticed some inconsistent panel fitment
104.1 -> and surprisingly cheap-feeling switchgear. Still,  these issues are minor compared with the otherwise
109.02 -> extravagant and heart-pounding experience.  Every model includes leather upholstery,
113.64 -> heated and power-adjustable front seats, and  passive entry. Those who want more upscale
118.62 -> features can add a heated steering wheel  and ventilated front seats. Unfortunately,
123 -> there are not many places inside the  DB11 to store small items outside of
127.44 -> the center-console bin that slides open  to reveal cupholders and a useful tray.
