                    Content
                    13.858 -> Ford builds Fiesta's for over 30 years already,
since the seventies
18.6 -> There have been many generations.
It always used to be a pretty tame car
23.468 -> But this generation, pre- and post-facelift (we're driving the
facelift today), has a quite distinct styling.
31.953 -> It's Fords kinetic design, characterized by sharp lines,
a bit Aston Martin-esque
38.593 -> You could call that a compliment, I'd say.
42.193 -> When it comes down to its steering behavior,
it's still a very fun car to drive.
46.73 -> This is something Ford has
proven itself very apt in.
48.98 -> After the facelift a whole range of three cylinder
turbocharged Ecoboost engines was introduced
54.96 -> The power they delivered was top notch,
and they came in many different performance stages.
58.36 -> But before the facelift the engines
were naturally aspirated.
61.65 -> The 60 hp entry model is a bit underpowered
for this type of car nowadays
68.9 ->  You'd want to go for just a
bit more punch.
71.438 -> The best selling version is the one
with 100 hp, by the way.
75.618 ->  PETROL ENGINES
82.082 ->  DIESEL ENGINES
87.86 ->  The Fiesta is a popular car, therefore there's a
wide array of models on offer on Autoscout 24,
92.528 -> 2.400 models of this generation Fiesta
96.718 -> which means that you can also find some unconventional colours,
if you want to. Red or light green, for example,
103.588 -> but of course the majority of the models has a 'secure' livery:
black, grey.. well, you know the drill.
109.578 -> The diesels on offer are a bit scarce,
only 6 per cent.
112.878 -> This has mostly has to do with Ford's competitors offering
tax exempt models on the Dutch market in that time, while the Fiesta wasn't.
121.85 -> Hence, relatively few people opted
for a Fiesta diesel.
124.67 -> The number of automatics don't even
reach 6%, which make these the more rare Fiesta's.
130.701 -> Fiesta's which are rather luxuriously equipped
are not hard to find.
133.631 -> Quite a few have alloy wheels, sat nav,
and parking sensors.
139.951 -> (Semi-) leather upholstery on the other hand
is quite hard to come by.
145.387 -> Prices start roughly at 6.500 euros.
148.777 ->  PRICES
Minimum - Average - Maximum
158.397 -> Concerning attention points: there are few structural problems
but many small things that could go wrong
166.407 -> Interior rattles, for example, in various places
and often difficult to solve
172.83 -> This is usually the case with rattles, that one has to
look where it comes from exactly.
178.537 -> So if you're sensitive to this kind of thing
you might want to pass on the Fiesta.
183.427 -> Electrical gremlins are present as well,
relays which can get loose for example,
188.857 -> or break, which can be the cause of many defects.
I must say it's not extremely frequent,
196.117 -> but the Fiesta is a bit sensitive to these things.
198.187 -> Another thing the Fiesta is sensitive for is the
battery voltage
202.077 -> It needs to be over 11 volts, or strange things start to happen.
207.597 -> Which are good indicators that you need to change
your car battery, on the other hand.
211.257 -> For example: when you turn on your headlights the lights
turn on, bit the attention light on your dashboard doesn't.
216.605 -> The radio might not power down when you
turn off your engine.
220.195 -> A bit more serious is that your car might
unlock its doors by itself.
225.455 -> This is something you want to avoid, especially when your
car is on a location where you'd like to keep it locked.
229.487 -> Attention points concerning the diesel engine: the dipstick
has a plastic part which can break off and fall down your carter.
237.617 -> Due to the fact that the carter has to be disconnected, it could rack up
a high repair bill for an insignificant problem.
243.387 -> The particulate filter needs to regenerate, but especially
with short distances driven this doesn't always happen.
250.747 -> This can lead to a myriad of engine problems
due to a clogged filter.
255.597 -> If you can, go for a diesel which has done
numerous long stretches instead of just city traffic.
265.877 -> This is a spotless post-facelift Fiesta, really young,
with a supple Ecoboost 3-cylinder engine.
274.417 -> Very well equipped, especially for a Fiesta: it has
sat nav, semi-leather upholstery, parking sensors, heated seats.
281.627 -> It also has Ford A1 warranty, so you basically
can't go wrong with this model.
287.675 ->  This particular car
