0.06 -> Today we look at the Mitsubishi Outlander. It is a 7 seater so let's see
4.47 -> how good it is as a Baby Drive.
23.59 -> In the second row of the Outlander there's ISOFIX in both outer seats
27.369 -> they're not within plastic guides but I did find them quite easy to connect to.
31 -> In the back of all three seats there's top tethers. Now I did find with those
35.62 -> that I couldn't connect to them the normal way, I had to actually turn the
39.34 -> clip around to get them to connect because of the shape of the plastic
42.25 -> guide. And now I only managed to fit two child seats in the back here because in
47.739 -> that central seat there's a seat buckle that sticks up and it's completely solid
52.329 -> so I actually couldn't get any child seat back into that position which is a
55.96 -> shame so I think there might actually have been ruined for three across.
59.19 -> There's no top tethers or isofix in the third row seats so I didn't install any
64.21 -> child seats back there. To access the third row seats on this curbside, it's
70.45 -> the 60/40 split so this is a 60 side so you'd actually have to remove two child seats
75.13 -> if you had them installed there in order to get through, because the seat they do
79.39 -> slide forwards and the backrest comes forward. So you'd have to remove any
84.04 -> child seats installed in order to climb through. These third right seats really
88.57 -> are quite impractical. There's no Headroom at all I'm only 162
92.53 -> centimeters I can just sit here. There's no leg room and there's no kick room
97.329 -> underneath that second row seat either. With a child seat rear-facing installed
101.859 -> in the second row, the front passenger can only just fit if they're six foot and
106.659 -> that wouldn't be for a long journey. And there's no leg room behind at all in
111.49 -> that situation. In the third row there's two cupholders on the right hand side,
115.689 -> they will hold a reusable or disposable coffee cup but they rattle around.
119.38 -> They're not a great fit on the left hand side, there is a little wedge, a good
123.069 -> place for an iPad or a book something like that. In the second row of the
126.67 -> Outlander there's a fold down in the central seat back that has two
129.97 -> cupholders, it they will hold a reusable disposable coffee cup but they rattle
134.26 -> around a bit. There are two map pockets and they are big enough to hold an iPad
139.27 -> but not conceal it and the door bins in the back are quite small they're only
144.4 -> hold a 600ml. Storage in the front of the Outlander isn't that great, there's
148.84 -> no glasses case and there's nowhere to put your phone. There are two cupholders
152.409 -> in the front here. They will hold a reusable or disposable coffee cup but
156.31 -> they rattle around in there. The central console storage box
159.58 -> is small as well. The glovebox it's not a bad size, I could get my wallet in there
165.34 -> with the manual, and there's a little shelf above that I could get my iPad in
168.61 -> as well. The front door bins are bigger than in
171.069 -> the back which is good because I could get a large refillable water bottle in
174.37 -> there and my iPad fitted in there too. Let's see how much we can fit in the
178.42 -> boot of the Mitsubishi Outlander. When using all seven seats
182.349 -> I could put four shopping bags in the boot or the mountain buggy Nano compact
187.33 -> stroller and two shopping bags. When only using five seats I could fit 14 shopping
192.489 -> bags. Or the mountain buggy duet twin stroller and four shopping bags. Or the
198.25 -> Britax flex tandem stroller and five shopping bags. Or the mountain buggy
202.42 -> urban jungle single stroller and five shopping bags. Or the mountain buggy Nano
207.16 -> compact stroller and ten shopping bags. Or a medium-sized dog.
215.63 -> The Outlander is quite a comfortable car to drive. I can feel the road surface
220.68 -> through the floor quite a lot though and it is quite a noisy engine too. The media
227.16 -> system in the Outlander is actually quite good - it does have apple carplay
230.76 -> and android auto which is really great and just makes the whole thing a lot
234.12 -> easier to use. When you put it in reverse you get quite good image and there's
239.85 -> also a button on your steering wheel that you can press to change the camera
243.78 -> image on the left hand side. There's a button down by your right knee where you
248.01 -> can turn on and off the parking sensors. But you can't just mute the sound. So to
254.37 -> sum up with the Outlander, the seating isn't that practical and the storage
258.87 -> inside isn't great either but it is a relatively nice car to drive
263.52 -> just quite a practical nice little family car.
