0.5 -> Hello, friends! Welcome! More than a simple crossover: an AWD crossover itís what we all want! Todayís car brags that it has the perfect recipe: a family car, ideal for the city and prepared every time to adventure on pathless roads. Letís meet the new Ford Kuga!
40.5 -> Well, friends! Now, we are driving the new Ford Kuga! Ford fans have definitely observed that the manufacturer has lately a globalization politic of its products. What this means? It means that all the cars produced by Ford, arenít made only for one market. For example: Mustang was mostly made for the American market.
68.5 -> Given that Ford tries to attack on all fields: the European market and also the American one, itís obvious that they had to have a compact SUV, like Ford Kuga. I say a compact SUV because itís in the same class like Tiguan and not with Tuareg.
88.5 -> So, what does he have to do to be a successful car? First of all, it must be a good car for the family: so, it must be conformable, spacious and a practical one. It must be a car that doesnít consume too much, it must be a silent car on a straight road (not a noisy one), it must be a car that must do a lot of things very good because the buyers from this category are very difficult.

Maybe you didnít expect sportiveness form a midsize SUV, but Ford Kuga when you want to go when youíre expecting to a traffic light, helps you. 224.5 -> Our car has ST-line package. Donít think to a Fiesta ST because itís not so agile , but Kuga ST line has a suspension with 10 mm lower and I think itís a little tougher which makes this car to be well positioned in curves.

It contains some exterior design elements which make the car to look more aggressive, Iíve told you about the suspension which is lower with 10 mm. But, thereís something strange here: why you want to go down the suspension of a compact SUV?

299.5 -> There arenít the softest seats from the world, but I like the fact that they have alcantara insertions and also a lateral support pretty good also for ëwide ëpeople, with a considerable weight.
319.5 -> So, it wouldnít be a problem for them to sit comfortable in these seats. So, concerning the driving comfort, I give an extra point to Ford.
331.5 -> Because, we already talked about seats, letís talk about the back ones. The rear seats on which transported last night 3 people without any problem. It wasnít a long road, itís obvious, but nobody complained about anything. Everybody stood comfortable and they had space without any problem.
352.5 -> But, I would have one objection: on the main console there is a glossy plastic which being near the conditioning module doesnít combine right with the mat plastic that surrounds the condition module.
369.5 -> And if you squeeze the two sides together, you will see how they flex. Well, isnít a big problem, isnít the worst problem: you wonít put constantly your hand here, you wonít hit constantly this side.
383.5 -> Concerning the carís performances, I must talk about the direction, because I didnít expect that direction is so hard. Well, itís not incredibly hard, I just didnít expect to be so hard: I expected to be more relaxed, so you wonít fell big stuffs with this direction. But, Ford Kuga isnít like this: it has a little air of sportiveness hidden somewhere and when you turn the steering wheel, you donít feel big things happening in the wheels, but you can anticipate where the car will go.
427.5 -> Although, there is a chapter in which Ford made some huge steps: the technology found on this car. Yeah, also Ford Mondeo has a button which you press on and the car can park itself. Also Kuga does this! But, in exchange, Ford Kuga has an Infotainment system superior than that one from Mondeo.
454.5 -> This Infotainment system is called Ford Sync 3.Why is important Ford Sync 3? Because Ford Sync 2 was the one from Mondeo and was made by the men from Microsoft who are really good at software, but it was slow software, a counterintuitive one. You can see this in Mondeo review, where Iím trying to set the GPS to a destination and when I press back because I was wrong on a letter , it take me to start all over again the operation.
487.5 -> So, it wasnít the most intuitive thing in the world! Ford Sync 3 repairs completely this thing; itís a ëbreathí. It works really well; now itís a system built on Android and isnít made by Microsoft like Ford Sync 2. It works really well, the lag is mostly non-existent. Itís like a tablet from nowadays: very easy to use, intuitive and it represents a huge step forward.
514.5 -> And those from Ford took an idea which is now very usual to all carsí producers: the Infotainment system has a home screen (a main screen) in which you can see navigation, if you have a connected phone and the media input: radio, auxiliary or what you have connected to play music.
538.5 -> Itís very simple because you can see all these information just looking there and then you can continue your road. Also, I must congratulation them for these speakers: the audio system made by Sony which sounds really good.
552.5 -> I congratulate those from ford because theyíve started to implement technologies from cars that are more expensive. For example, if you can remind the review from 7 series, I told you that the car had some minor flaps in the front grille that were closing and opening depending on driving conditions
571.5 -> For example, if the car was speeding higher on an open road, those flaps would be closing to increase the drag coefficient of the car, thus we have a better fuel consumption.
587.5 -> Well, Ford Kuga has this thing: it has some little valves in the front grille which are closing or opening when youíre in need to save a little when youíre driving on a straight road.
601.5 -> So, dear gentlemen from Ford! I congratulate you because youíve succeeded to bring the technologies used on more expensive cars than this one.
623.5 -> Concerning the consumption, now itís 8 l/100 km (made mostly in the city and a little on a straight road). The consumption will surely change till Monday when Iíll bring the car. The final consumption you will surely have on the article form eBlogauto.
642.5 -> Well, now comes the part less unpleasant? Which is the price of this car? Ford Kuga with the ST-line equipping, 2.0 diesel engine, 180 HP, 6-speed automatic gearbox and AWD arrives at 31000 euro.
660.5 -> Again, with all the ëtoysí on it. The Tiguan tested by me was 33000 euro and it was the middle equipping: comfort line (If Iím not wrong) with 150 HP.
