0 -> Hi and welcome to my channel!
1.56 -> Okay so today we're gonna  try out this watercolour.
5.52 -> They are Sakura Koi, yeah, I only got this four colours.
10.38 -> They're on sale, so I only  spent IDR20.000 for all of this,
14.76 -> which is uh... very cheap. So... yeah, let's try them out.
19.26 -> For this we're gonna need empty half  pans because it's just a refill version.
25.14 -> And here I will show you how to put this into an empty half pan.
29.46 -> It's too hard so I just rip the box out and take out the paints...
37.32 -> Take off this yellow thingy
42.06 -> And just put it inside. Just like that.
45.66 -> Now let's do the same for all the colours.
54.78 -> I only got four colours here, so we're gonna use this mini swatch book.
60.36 -> We start with the yellow. I picked the colour Gamboge for this yellow.
68.52 -> And then for the red I pick Carmine.
78.72 -> For the blue I pick Ultramarine Deep.
88.98 -> And one natural colour, the Payne's Grey.
98.4 -> Now we're gonna do the  wet-on-dry blending test here.
101.64 -> And we're gonna need a palette. I thin out the paint and just put it like this.
106.86 -> And again I always nervous about this test  because we can see the quality just from this.
114.06 -> And yeah and it's not fun when you don't  like the watercolour you're trying to review.
120.12 -> Anyway, yeah I put the second layer here.
125.58 -> Okay now we're doing wet-on-wet blending test. Just wet the surface and put the colours.
131.16 -> I just take the colours right  from the pan to the wet surface.
138 -> Next we're doing first layer of the glazing test. We're gonna need palette again
142.2 -> because we need to thin out the paint. Just put all the colours in vertical lines.
148.86 -> Now we're doing the second layer after  the first layer is completely dry.
152.94 -> It's the same four colours in horizontal lines. Now I'm writing down the names... and yeah
164.76 -> Here is the up close result of this. Now let's talk about the colours.
169.98 -> I have to be honest, I'm not a fan of this  watercolour ever since I've tried it years ago.
176.46 -> And for some reasons... like  they're a little bit chalky.
180.54 -> If we can see... the maybe yellow is  always semi-opaque but the red here...
184.98 -> There are some reds on this black lines... yeah. You can see that there are still some red over
192.36 -> there so... yeah... It's...  it's a little bit chalky.
195.9 -> And I love to use a lot of layers so  this one is really not ideal for me.
200.64 -> And it's also not easy if  you want to do it wet-on-dry.
203.76 -> And I think the colours are confusing, like if you add more water it become pale,
210.54 -> but if you don't add enough water  um yeah just the chalkiness.
216 -> But again with wet-on-wet the  chalkiness will be easier to deal with.
222.78 -> This looks kinda okay, but I don't know... We... we can't see the granulating...
228.9 -> Just like cracky thingy with red... Not much granulating with the ultramarine.
234.84 -> As far as I know ultramarine is  always granulating, but yeah...
239.22 -> Here we can see the Payne's Grey  is a little bit granulating. Yeah,
243.78 -> but the Payne's Grey is not like... Payne's Grey usually it's look like a cool black,
250.62 -> but I think this is more like neutral  gray with no blue tone at all.
255.9 -> So yeah, into the glazing. We can see here even from the first layer,
262.62 -> I don't know the colour is just too pale. I think I just used the right amount of
269.04 -> water to thin this out. Yeah as I said before  if you add too much water it become pale,
275.22 -> but if you add just lots of water  it's gonna be like chalky. Yeah...
281.94 -> And the last thing I want to complain about  is that they don't have the pigment code.
286.68 -> It's just a number the name and some instruction,
289.38 -> Yeah there's just no  information about the pigments.
294.48 -> Okay, in conclusion, I don't think this test  really changed my mind about this watercolour.
300.96 -> But they're on sale so I got nothing to lose here.
303.9 -> So yeah, if you don't mind  about the chalkiness, the...
309.06 -> Yeah the everything I complained  about, yeah go for it.
312.48 -> And I think it's still gonna be a good  one if you don't use too much layer,
316.08 -> if you want to make illustration  or something like that... yeah.
319.44 -> Also they are cheap and on sale, probably the sale is still going.
324.36 -> So if you want to get this I will put the  shop link in the descriptions box below.
328.92 -> But it only available in Indonesia.
331.14 -> Okay that's it for now.
332.76 -> If you have any question or anything just let me know in the comments.
335.64 -> And if you like this video don't forget to leave a thumbs up and subscribe for more!
339.48 -> Thanks for watching, and see you next time! Byeee!
